I must admit that when I was younger I was a bit of fatalist and thought nothing of superannuation with the expectation that I would be dead before 65. As I have aged, I have had to come to terms with the "false hope" of an early death, embraced the notion of a long, prosperous life, along with the need to plan means to finance the lifestyle I would like through my "later days". Lucky for me I have someone as passionate and knowledgeable as Helen Baker educating and coaching on the eCentral Business Show about superannuation, particularly as it applies to mining industry workers this week.
